In 2022 and 2023, a small series of botanical illustrations was created, focusing on plants that evoke nostalgia and memories of home and childhood. The series features species that were either part of the artist’s domestic environment or became embedded in early memories — among them oleander (Nerium oleander), fig (Ficus carica), foxglove (Digitalis purpurea), and meadow buttercup (Ranunculus acris). These illustrations highlight both the aesthetic and emotional value of the plants, while also exploring their botanical accuracy. This series also served as an early conceptual foundation and source of inspiration for the master’s thesis Toxic Hallucinogenic Plants and Fungi of Slovenia.
