This project, completed as part of the course Illustration III at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana under the mentorship of Prof. Marija Nabernik (2024), explores the topic of black pepper (Piper nigrum). The focus lies on its economic significance and the challenges posed by pests such as the flea beetle (Longitarsus nigripennis) and the pepper fruit borer (Cydia hemidoxa), along with other species like the cotton aphid, mealybugs, and the black-spotted blister beetle. The illustrations of these pests are presented on a poster, where they are depicted to scale with precise detail, allowing for a clearer understanding of their size and morphology.
